Any advantages to 16" rims

This was my previous ride before....I ran Super Swampers TSL 44" tires on a 15" rim. I have driven it 60mph and it was very stable, just very cautious on turns, which is to be expected because of the COG......Maybe different handling since it's not a Jeep, but worked well for me....
I'd need a ladder to get in there !

But, also provide a rougher ride. On less than glassy surface roads (e.g., driving in Oklahoma--LOL) that could actually mean less than optimal performance as you bounce instead of roll across washboard surfaces.

Like many, I feel 16s are the way to go. more comfortable on road ride and better off road performance. It also gives a little added protection to your rims off road since there is more sidewall to absorb bashes.
Granted the larger diameter rims will provide better cornering on road, that's a non issue for me since a Jeep is not a sports car and I don't drive it as such. Also, I'm not going for that Bling Bling effect.
Some may tell you that you get better lateral stability with the larger diameter rims when wheeling in the rocks. That may be true to a certain point but I have never had a problem with that on either Jeep and have been more concerned with keeping my Jeeps off their lids than lateral stability in situations like that.

I have a buddy that works at discount tire, a guy with an H2 bought them drove on them for a couple hundred miles and didnt like the noise so I got them "used"

For me, with the current Pro Comp discounts, I got 5 - 16" alloy rims and 35" tires for less then what it cost for the same 5 - 35" tires to fit my 18" stock wheels.
