Default Another Rubi suspenion transplant question...

I have an '11 Sport with 14/55's and a TF Leveling Kit. I am installing Rubi JKU 18/59's and shocks on Friday. I am trying to do the install once and I am not sure whether I should leave both spacers up front or just one at each corner.

In general does a stock Rubi JKU suffer from the forward rake the other JK models have? I don't recall seeing a whole lot of Rubi's doing a leveling kit but if I can figure this out, it might help me determine if the 18/55's still need the two front spacers.

I don't want to over do it and up with a reverse rake...though, I run the hard top only half of the year so if I end up nose happy, it might even out once the hard top comes off...

I did the same exact spring swap and leveling kit. I used just one spacer up front and it is almost level, very small rake. I bet with the hard top it will be perfect. I'm saving the other spacer for when I get a bumper an winch.

Thanks.

You have the back seat out too...

I keep mine in most of the time. And, I have OBA and a HiLift installed up front..

I can see the small amount of rake and from this pic I am tempted to leave the two front spacers in...

It will look good either way. I'd like to see an after pic when you do it.

I did this back in late november and would say that it is level with the hard top on. If it stops raining i will take a pic and post it. I did not add the leveling kit and was tempted to do so.

@Jtrain496 I have some questions if you wouldn't mind answering

How do you like the ride? Mine is rough as sh!t with the 18/59's and rubi shocks.

How about the caster? Do you have any flightyness (sp)? Mine was flightly until i swapped my tires for 295/70r17 nitto trail grapplers. The heavier tires fixed the flighty feeling that i was getting with the stock SR-A's.

Do you wheel yours? I go out about twice a month and was wondering how mine would wheel with the leveling kit added.

Any issues with your drive shaft angle? I am running an automatic and this was the main reason i did not do a real lift.

Sorry about all of the questions. Thanks!

Thanks guys.. pics would be appreciated and count on me posting my before and after.

I know I am going to add keep one TF spacer per corner.

I have some gear mounted up front, and anticipate adding more.. I use the dual tops pretty much equally. Thinking I would rather be a little nose high than raked down.. This will be a spur-of-the moment decision as it's being installed..

My ride is a Little rough but I like it much better than stock. Was too rough at 35 psi now I run 30 on the road.

It is a little flighty on the highway; not too bad though. I have 285/75/16

I wheel about once a month. Performs great. I'm in AZ so its mostly rocks. Tip if you want quick discos just buy the teraflex parts bag for 60. The teraflex quick discos for 130 come with the same connectors that come with the leveling kit just not the pins and other hardware. You'll have to hammer out the metal ring so the stud fits.

No drive shaft issues with rubi springs/shocks and tf leveling kit.

Cool. Thanks for the reply. I am running the 0 - 2.5 JKS Quicker disconnects so I should be good to go.

The 15/55's are like mush... roll and yaw in turns, tons of dive under braking. Sadly, not enough acceleration for and squat.. I hate the OE Sport suspension.

Can you tell me more about this bag o' parts??
