Another Hi-Lift jack install
#11
I mounted this jack in my TJ 3 years ago the same way - sold the TJ and recycled the brackets, jack, and fire bottle. The roll bar is about 1" wider at the base so I had to make some spacers from some hardwood I had in the garage. Any mild steel or aluminum with a 90 degree bend and sufficient width will work. When I take the top off, I just use a cable lock to make sure the jack doesn't run off. Hopefully the pictures work - first time posting pics here.

Securing the Hi-Lift
SIMPLE SOLUTION:
I was planning on fabricating a mount behind the seat this weekend for my hi-lift. I am planning on using locking lug nuts to secure them. That way, it is much harder for someone to steal it.

The rear receiver hitch or the front tow hooks (with a strap or chain).
Or....there's a company that makes a setup where you wrap a tire with a webbing & this webbing has a loop that goes onto the jacking point.
