Cool idea! I've seen it don on other Jeeps, but wasn't sure if it'd work on a JK. Now I know.

It looks like you set it down on the hood and forgot about it.

I don't have a picture yet, but a 48" hi-lift can easily be mounted horizontally behind the roll bar, at least in a 2-door, where it is secure and out of sight. I'll post a picture later tonight. You have to remove the foot and the top piece, but that stuff just goes into the back with my straps and shackles.

I do like that. But I would be worried somebody would steal it.

How's the clearance when you put the hood up? It doesn't touch the windshield?
Looks cool though.
I like the shovel position, but I would be worried about tearing it off while on the trail.

It doesn't hit the windshield. If you open the hood past the hood stay it will hit the cowl. The shovel is temporary until I can afford a real bumper. If it gets torn off I'll go buy a new one. Not too worried.

Nice fab job, it is always good to see jeepers being inovative. I personally would not want that chunk of iron on my hood, just another thing to obstuck vision on the trail and something else to have flying through the air in the event of an accident. But other than that good job.
