boot will tear and you'll be replacing that shaft in no time! Especially if you're wheeling it so definitely plan the extra $500 for a new shaft. 
) the 3" states that it doesnt require a drive line mod. But others here are stating 2.5 is pretty good for what i want too, that may very well be the route i go.Thank you all for your posts!!
