It depends how many miles on yours mine only has 13k on it but I have seen JKs with 5-6k and the axles take good whacks with a slide hammer to un spline the axles. I think I read your post that you are having a shop doing the gears and then taking it to East Coast gear to check out the axles? If a shop is having that much trouble pulling axles I don't think I would trust them myself with gears. Your call
