Well, I dropped it off yesterday with Drew at ORE and the consensus in the shop was 5.13 due to the fact I will be going to 37s next year. I am picking it up today and will report how it feels....

This thing feels amazing!!!! It shifts all gears and pulls hard off the line. I still have not driven on the freeway but it turns those heavy Nittos like they are not even there. I wish I would have done this last year......

Getting the Jeep back from a regear has got to be one of the best feelings ever! Lol
Seriously though. 😀

They actually suggested that you put 5.13's into a 2014 on 35's? I can't wait to see what your rpm is at 70mph.

Yes they did and it made me a little nervous. I felt the worst thing that could happen is that I would have to go to 37s sooner. I have to say even though I have not been on the freeway at 65 yet I'm sure the RPM will be in the 2,800 range which I'm ok with for now. But where I live is a lot of hills and this thing performs much better than it did with the stock 32s and 4.10s. EVO has done hundreds of gear changes so I put my trust in them. Most of their clients run the same areas in SoCal that I do so time will tell. I will report back how it does in the highways but for now this thing has got its power back.....

RPM @ 65 MPH 2700
RPM @ 70 MPH 2900
I can live with this a while until I go to 37s as my highway driving is about 15 minutes a day and initial fuel mileage dropped from 16.2 to 15.7. Big plus is that the hills getting to and from my house are effortless and trans goes into overdrive.....

Did they recommend beefing up the d44s at all with the new gears. My local shop said nothing over 488 in a d44, but they aren't in the business of gears like the shop you have access to.

My 4:88's are going in today. They had a heck of a time removing my rear axles... that scares me a bit, although I have read that some people have to work hard to get them out.

Any thoughts?

It depends how many miles on yours mine only has 13k on it but I have seen JKs with 5-6k and the axles take good whacks with a slide hammer to un spline the axles. I think I read your post that you are having a shop doing the gears and then taking it to East Coast gear to check out the axles? If a shop is having that much trouble pulling axles I don't think I would trust them myself with gears. Your call
