Why it wouldn't help any to have had a D44. The ujoint is exactly the same.

I think superior has the D44 chromoly axle shafts with full circle clips. If mine goes, then I will prob go this route.

I'm curious about the tire size as well. I was hoping to get the mopar rubi axles on mine too...

Mine ticks when I out it in 4wd but its the driver side from what I can tell. I have not even played with it. Everything I lock it in for is just to make it easier to get thru not that it was needed ie new construction sites.

The recovery was nasty. My frinds TJ and his warn winch were pretty stressed.



front passenger side u-joint exploded while climbing a technical section off-road. I heard the POP! and then the clicking and the snaping and the noises you do not want to hear going uphill with no hope of getting out in 2wd, even backwards! I actually destroyed mt rear tire carrier trying to get out of this mess in 2wd. never give up...

You guys that had this problem, did they replace the wheel bearings too?

This looks like some nasty stuff, one more reason to lift the axle off the ground and do your "shake" tests, and visually check the U-Joint caps as was suggested by a couple people.

i broke my left front axle 2 monhs ago and they repalced only the axle and upper and lower ball joints in my rubicon

As far as mine is conserned, I was pulling and tree backwards in 4Lo with lockers on and spinning on rocks BUT it was covered under warranty.
