Ok say that you had a lift kit, say 3 in. This was just a coil and shock lift kit. If you put on u and lca's and replaced the coils and shocks with the new Evo bolt in coilovers, or any coilovers for that matter; would the coilovers set the total height of the lift?

yes, they are nice but, your shocks are only a part of the equation. most of your ride quality comes from the coils you run and, while a good set of shocks can help a stiff set of coils, it's better to pair them up with a set of coils that have a spring rate that is best suited for them.
