Am I going to have problems???
I finally am growing up and purchased a set of aftermarket wheels and tires (35's).
My question is, am I going to run in to any problems with the onboard computer since the aftermarket wheels will not have sensors? If so, what problems and fixes.
I am definitely still a noob!
Thanks again everyone!

You will get a TPMS indication on your dash. However, your problems have just begun. Your speedometer will also be egregiously wrong. That's the bad news. Now for the good news. There is a fix in the way of the SuperChip Flashpaq. It will be capable of disabling the computer effectively ending the TPMS indications. It will also be able to re-calibrate your speedometer for your new tire size. Contact David at Nortridge 4x4 for pricing on one today.
Have fun with your new toy.

Simple easy fix would bee to buy an AEV ProCal...you can set your tire pressure threshold to 0 to eliminate tpms and set proper tore size...only $150 compared to the fore mentioned Superchips tuner which is upwards of $300 I believe?? Someone correct me on the price if I am wrong
It's actually not that big of a deal going up to 35"...a lot of people just leave their rig "as is" and pay more attention to how fast they are going.
AEV ProCal is best bang for the buck to fix these issues though.

I just up graded to 4.5" lift with 35" tires and got the AEV programer runs just like stock shift points really no loss of power with 410's for gears. I would recommend the AEV. Are you doing a lift as well?

Thanks guys. Keep the opinions coming.
I had heard about the superchips programmer but not the AEV. Willl the superchips programmer make that big of a difference in power / with shift points? $175 worth of difference? I also have 410's in my 07 jeep, it is an automatic.
Yes, I am installing a 2.5 inch Tera Flex lift this weekend.

You can find thread fter thread of pleased ProCal users.
I don't even like AEV, I think their bracket lifts are a waste of money but, the ProCal is money!! Oh and their hoods...that AEV hood is friggin sweet

What you can do is install everything drive it and see. If it you can live with the changing shift points don't buy anything.
My nephew did a 4" lift to his jeep with 35" tires and it drove like crap. He would not spend the $ on a programer and finally hated it so much he sold his jeep.
The problem is your computer thinks it still has the same size tires and so it does not know to compensate for the much larger tire size. This can lead to less power shifting more often etc!!
