Default Aluminum Wheel Care?

Considering the DC-1 aluminum polished wheels (black). How well do polished wheels hold up in the snow belt? I know that most don't run chrome wheels in the winter, but I think that I would be able to run these wheels year round? Thanks.

N2ROCK is right
if its not coated and you want it to look good open up a detail shop you might make a few bucks on cars in between doing your own

The wheel that I am lookinig at is machined finished with UV clear coat protection. The material said that it will stand up in harsh environments. Does this mean that I'm ok with running these year rouind?

the clear coat will help you out big time. Keep em washed regularly, even through an automated wash and you should be fine if they're clear coated, if not, be prepared to wash them daily or cover them in something. I have a polished aluminum wheel and use LPS3 on them for the winter. On my Old YJ, it had chrome wagon wheels and they looked great in the summer, first drop of salt to hit them and they started rusting. after a week of cleaning them every time i pulled into the garage, i asked around and found out about LPS3. its a rust inhibitor sold at hardware stores such as ACE Hardware and comes in an arosol can. sprays on like a thick WD40 and after an hour or two becomes really sticky/snotty like. when i used it on the chrome wheels i coated it once, and never did anything else for the rest of the winter. eventually they turned kinda gold and black from dirt and brake dust, but underneath they were brand new. When summer came around, i got worried because i couldn't get it off. I even took a pressure washer to it point blank and it would smear around but not come off. So i started asking around again, and found out that a citrus degreaser takes it off in seconds. Just spray the wheel with the citrus degreaser, let is soak for like 20 seconds, and hose off. And viola and brand spanken new chrome rim, just the way i looked when i sprayed it on, not a single spec of rust. So i did the same to my polished aluminum wheels. yeah the wheels look dirty all the time in the winter, but hell, so does the rest of the jeep, its a black jeep and takes no more than driving down my driveway before its filthy in the winter. anyway, LPS3 is what you need, i promise you'll be satisfied
