Default alterantive pull points for stock front bumper

I have no intention of replacing the stock front bumper any time soon. So with that in mind, are there any alternative tow points that replace the horns on the bumper?
If anyone has something else, it would be great to see some pics too.

The obvious would be to get factory tow hooks for your bumper (I have some BTW...)

I have also seen D ring mounts to the front of the bumper. Bolted straight throught the plastic and using the fram mounting points.

Will the AEV d-ring mounts work with a stock bumper?

There is a lot of space between the face of the frame rail, and the outer surface of the stock bumper.

You would have to remove the crush cans, and the plastic face of the bumper where the cans reside.
After that, the d-rings would be recessed into the bumper.

You could make a spacer to go between the d-ring plate anf the end of the frame rail, but that would be a lot weaker than mountng directly to the end of the frame rail.

The factory tow hooks work fine. Look in the for sale section on this forum and Ill bet you can find some cheap.

How about the Front Receiver Hitch (Hidden Hitch, Curt ) ? It is frame -mounted ,works with stock front bumper (notch airdam ) and is plenty strong. Gives the versatility of carrying stuff, moving trailers in close quarters, portable winches , to name a few.
