I put Duratracs on my TJ, when I sold it and went to a JK, the Duratracs were ordered the same week I got my JK. I am not usually a GY fan, but those Duratracs are a great tire for the Jeep. I'm very happy with mine on road, and off road. Especially on slippery winter streets.

I had all terrains on all of my prior 4x4's and had no problems with them. They will cake up in mud, but that was not much of a problem in So Cal (at least in past years....) The last set I had were BFG KO's on my Defender. They were a lot better in snow and ice than my mud tires are, both KM and KM II, got better mileage, and were quite. Not to mention that they last forever. I am considering going back to AT tires for my Jeep, but after a the mud I have been in the past few weeks, I will really have to think about it.

I only have about 400 miles on my Duratracs so far. They have performed better than I was expecting in snow and the snow/mud mix I threw at them today hunting.

I ran Cooper S/T and they did well in the mud/trail (33x12.50R15 on 95 XJ).

I ran BFG AT KO and they did well too with plenty of throttle through mud, snow, and anything you can throw it in... (31x10.50R15 on 01 XJ and 32x11.00R17 on 07 JKU Rubi).

The duratracs kick both other tires' butts in everything (33x11.50R17 on 08 JK)

So... I speak from experience.

Since I put on over 25k miles on my JK every year I go through a lot of tires. There was once a time I was replacing mud tires every 8 months which was a tremendous strain on my wallet.

My last set were the procomp xtreme AT's. While they may have an aggressive tread pattern, they didnt perform so well on rocks and mud. However, they were great on road and sand.

Before the procomps were the Maxxis Bighorns. These worked great offroad, decent on road manners, not as loud as KM's or my old Toyos, but were crap in snow and skittish in water (hydroplaned easily).

My current tires I purchased on a whim.. and they were cheap too! Dunlop Max Rover MT's which really arent a true MT, nor are they a true AT. They have MT-ish lugs, but are siped nice and deep. When aired down theyre ok in the rock park, but the sidewalls are a bit thin (pinched one at an angle). They dont make a sound on the freeway and perform excellent in snow and water. They're also wearing very well too. I've got approximately 12K miles on them now and at the previous rotation, wear was negligible. I'm sure they'll last to at least 40k+ miles. However, theyre E rated and are a bit harsh on gravel and unpaved fire roads - but if I air them down to ~20psi theyre nice n mushy. I'll definitely be buying another set, just wish they came in 37x16.
