All Terrain Comparo

All Terrain Comparo
I was hoping to get some opinions on 2 different tires. I am interested in a good all terrain tire, and I have narrowed it down to 2. BFG KO, and General A/T. I plan to get 33-34x11-12.5 R17.
Like I said, it's an opinion based discussion. Based on your experience, which of these tires gives the best experience in all weather, all off road types, and has the best road manners. Go!
PS: Feel free to add other tire types if you have experience with these as well as the tire you want to throw in. I haven't ever ran an all terrain, so I don't know much about it. And I don't like assumptions.
EDIT: Lol, actually, my wife's old Jeep(which is going to be mine shortly) has Good Year wrangler A/T's and they have been great. I just forget about them because I got them on clearance at Wal-Mart really cheap, and I was more excited about the suspension work I was doing on it at the time. But I don't know if Good Year is still making that particular tire any more or if someone ordered them then backed out..... I guess I could check...

I like Toyo Open Country AT2's. Great in everything so far. quiet and smooth or road the only thing I have not been on is deep mud. I currently am running 285/75-17's ~34" but measure a true 33" when mounted on jeep at 30psi. Some guys will say because they are e rated they will be rough riding but they are not. I have put 19000 miles on Toyo AT2's both on my last jeep and and my new one. Not the most aggresive tire but good all arounder.

You can expect the BFG at's to last about a lifetime. I was seeing 50k on them without regular rotations and even then they were still quiet. They aren't great in mud but they're ok most everywhere else.
They are coming out with a new bfg at shortly, keep your eyes peeled.

Jadmt, Thank you, Great Info. I hadn't considered Toyo, but they look great. The Good Years I have on the 08 are E rated as well, but they ride rough. It is possible though, that I need to let some air out of them. I think they are running at around 38lbs. But not sure about that. They are also closer to 31".
Karls, I didn't know all of that, thank you.
RUBRDUK, Thank you as well. However, on my old Rubicon I ran the stock KM's that came on it. I liked the look, they were great in dry weather and mud, but not much else. When it snowed I HAD to put it in 4WD or I was ass out around every corner unless I was at a complete creep. The Good Year A/T's are light years better. Takes a lot of throttle to break them loose. Plus I don't mud much. But I always appreciate the input.
I know a lot of the guys here really love the mud terrains; understandably so. But I really think some A/T's will suit my ride style better. I have more of an overland approach. I like to own the Jeep for the fact that it potentially takes me every where a car can't. On that note, it's a daily driver so I won't be rock bashing. I love the discussion! Love the Jeep life!

I have the ProComp Extreme A/T 35x12.50-17 they measure 34" on my Jeep. They ride good and are relatively quite. They are a directional tread which is probably why they are more quite than most.
I have the Toyo A/T II's on my F-250 and it is a goodlooking tire. I only have a couple of hundred miles on them but they ride good.
