Default Alarm on a Jeep with manual doors/windows

Can an aftermarket alarm be added to a wrangler with manual doors?

If so, would it be worth getting a 2-way radio for it?

It should work just fine, obviously it won't unlock the doors. If you mean the pager style it depends on if you need to be notified ie: can't see or hear it going off.

I put one on my TJ, and it was plenty easy. Just wire the alarm to use the dome light for the doors. I had a two way on my WK, and it was ok - but to do it over again it was overkill for everything but the remote start. Everytime my WK was hit (3 times) I was too far away for the remote to work, or didn't have the keys on me (at the pool). So, the two way ALARM function was pretty worthless, for it to be useful you have to be close enough to hear the alarm anyways in most cases. But a confirmation of remote start would be pretty nice.

i have the viper 2way. works well. it comes with one regular remote and one 2 way...
i leave the 2way in the house incase someone decides to break into my wrangler at night...
i keep the 2 way remote next to the 12 gauge
Viper even sell motion sensors if you want.
