Default Airaid brought it to life!

Now I know it's been said before, but I just couldn't believe that an intake would make any difference... until I tried it myself. I've already had a catback exhaust and hypertech for about 4 months and was reasonably happy, but then I found a deal for a used Airaid on here I couldnt pass up (thanks DeepSky!) so I had to try it. And wow, the throttle response is much much better. There's no more lag after shifting and getting back on the gas, even when shifting at only 2500 rpms. Also, you can really hear it breath now... there's an actual rumble now. I thought I gave up that sound when I sold my CJ, but it's back!

Just thought I'd share with anyone on the fence, that if you have an exhaust this will really complete the package!

Congrats! The throttle response was the biggest difference I noticed as well. It's not the tire shredding horsepower that some expect or crave, but I imagine combined with your other mods you'll maximize the improvement.

That kinda seems to be the concensus that these things help modded Jeeps more. Makes sense. Glad you're happy.

Ditto There may be some skeptics out there, but to me, the mod complements the other mods that we have put in our jeeps, granted as said above, "It's not the tire shredding horsepower that some expect or crave" but I am happy and who wouldnt be happy spending $$$ on their JK

....Yes & b4 anything is said I know what may be expected (cons w/an aftermarket intake) if going thru deep water....

Hey! Glad you like it!

I'm gonna miss the extra bit of get-up-and-go and the harmonics it made in conjunction with my Flowmaster, but the cash was very much needed.

Thanks again.

Maybe that will take away my lag between 2nd and 3rd. It only happens around 2000 RPM.

Hey man, thank you. I'm lovin' it right now. And we'll definitely have to hit up Ocala sometime in the next month or so, especially since it's cooling down

Just dont go over to Jeepforum saying your CAI does anything to improve your Jeeps performance. They will just shoot you down with pictures of muddy engine bays and see though K&N's

Its nice to see different opinions on different forums. I personally think they help too.
