Default AFE y pipe or teraflex spacers for 2012 jk.

I have a 2012 2 door jk that I'm about to put a rockkrawler 3.5in x factor kit on. I'm wondering what would be the better option to go with I will be running coast driveshafts teraflexs solution is cheaper but AFE solution would relocate the exhaust crossover completely. Looks like I may still have contact while flexing with teraflex spacers? Anyone have any comments on this?

I'm having the same thoughts. I am leaning towards the afe Y pipe because it is stainless steel, won't rust and it totally takes care of the tail pipe issue. If I get the teraflex spacers it will be a temporary solution untill I can afford the Y-pipe, or I just won't go off road till I can get the Y-pipe. My concern with the Y-pipe is how close it comes to the gas lines and they only include heat shield tape. (tape, how long will that last.) I am thinking some type of heat shield is in order. Unfortunatly it doesn't take care of the drive shaft angle. So which driveshaft to get is another issue.

I went with coast 1310 shafts and they seem really beefy and nice. I wonder if there is any power loss using either of the solutions I no the 3.6 exhaust is sensitive. I wonder if anyone has done a before and after on the dyno with the AFE y pipe I would really like to see that. And you bring up a good point with the gas lines I haven't thought of that.

The TeraFlex Exhaust Spacers won't rust any faster than the rest of the stock exhaust system will.

I would also love to see some Dyno Test results.

Just got my AFE Y pipe, justed looked like the better way of fixing the problem, plus it moves the crossover behind the crossmember, I plan on fabbing up a
heat shield during my install this weekend.

got mine from Bytor Custom Trucks for a GREAT price, ask for Brandon (free shipping too)

I avae the TF spacers on my 2012. I have been fully flexed multiple times with no rubbing of the boot. So far it works as intended. It jsut needs to get me to the point that MBRP or who ever makes the aftermarket exhaust for the 2012.

Teraflex I'm glad you chimed in on this because I have a few questions conserning your exhaust spacers. Will your spacers work for the set up I'm going to run? I will have a coast 1310 shaft so it will be more narrow than stock but rockkrawlers 3.5 x factor is going to cause a lot of flex will the spacers be enough to keep my aftermarket shaft off of the exhaust cross member? And have you guys done any dyno testing before vs after with your spacers? Does the spacers effect the whole exhaust by moving everything back? I like your solution because its cheaper but I also want to do it right.

Tell me how the install goes and let me know if you notice any power difference.
