Just intalled an Airaid last weekend. Whistles at the same point others are saying. I am going to lose any gas mileage savings due to the fact of driving harder to avoid the damn whistle.

Anybody have any luck cutting it back any or eliminating it?

Mine doesn't whistle, never has.

Just be glad you didn't install a TBS too...they make even more noise sometimes, and don't help mpg or power. At least the CAI's help.



All the stock rigs have a series of resonators, etc...to tune the intake sounds...the CAI's leave them off, as they restrict airflow, and that's where part of their improvement comes from.

I installed a AFE CAI this afternoon and got the whistle too. Not too bad but I hope we can figure a way to eliminate or reduce it. It's high pitched and a bit annoying. I have a Mopar CAI on my Charger and it has never made a sound like that.
