What is the cost of the carrier only? Don't see it for sale on Northridge, bumper only or bumper with carrier, the difference is about $750. Is that what it's running?

I have the bumper and tire carrier and i like the looks and build quality of the unit. The onboard water is also really handy when camping

Here's mine... I re-used the brake light from the factory spare mount as well since the tire carrier provides an accessory mount above the tire. This tire swing is well engineered, rock solid and EASY to operate

not to change the subject but could it be possible to install that tire carrier on a rugged ridge bumper?

I don't see why you couldn't. AEV will tell you they've only tested the OEM plastic bumper with the carrier. The carrier comes with a template for cutting the hole so as long as you get the hole in the right spot on the bumper the carrier and bumper are completely independent of each other. The RR rear bumper is on my short list for an eventual rear bumper replacement.

If the attachment point on the rr bumper is straight, it will interfere. If it's on an angle
Like the oem bumper it will work fine.

If I were to guess most aftermarket bumpers will NOT work with the AEV carrier.

Also here's a straight on shot showing how the carrier is off center.

This is next on my mod list... Any other tips on installing it? Any special tools needed?
