Default AEV Snorkle Question

This may be a stupid question but here it is.

I was thinking of getting an AEV snorkel because I am paranoid of hydrolock, I have already done it once in my life and I don’t want to do it again. I don’t trail ride as much I would like and I REALY! Don’t like the way they look so I was wondering if it’s possible to take the snorkel off and only put it on during the weekends I go trail riding?

Is it a huge pain to take on and off?
Will it be a problem sucking in rain after I cut a big hole in my hood?

If you get the AEV hood it would be pretty simple to take off. Unsnap the AEV snorkel from the stock airbox, remove a few bolts, and replace the mesh screen, and stock snokel tube to the airbox. I guess it would be very similar with the stock hood, but it would just look ugly.

I agree you will love it. And for the non-wheelers that ask me what it is, I tell them a coffee maker
