Default Interferrence problems?

Can someone tell me if this snorkel installation effects the door opening all the way on the passenger side.

Does it attach also to the windshield, or can the windshield still be folded down?

Can the mirror on the door still be used and door opened?

Thanks

There is not a conflict between the door and the snorkel. I can still open the door all the way.

The snorkel does attach to the windshield frame by using the two top/side factory hex head bolts. Removing the two bolts and lowering the windshield would definitely weaken the mounting.

I used the AEV hood, but I think it is a safe assumption that cutting the factory hood would weaken the hood.

I hope this info helps you guys with your decision. I am very pleased with the AEV snorkel.

Thanks luisjg!

No, I don't work for AEV-just a customer.

I believe the public release of the snorkel in Overland Journal was earlier than Dave would have liked which explains the lack of availability.

Both ARB and AEV incorporate a water siphon. Also I would not want to drive the RR any distance in heavy snow as the intake is fixed in a forward position.

Yes the RR might look nice but a snorkle is ALL about function, and 'huge?' to ease the passage of air into the intake rather than force right angle bends
I concor with the above post.

Man I want this snorkel bad Looks like I might have to get the AEV Hood...or say screw it and cut my hood, not to sure it would weaken it that much.
