I've also seen the RR up close, and I don't like it. Way to square looking and just don't fit the lines of the JK IMO.
AEV has always been class. Just look at everything they make. Fit's good, Functional, and Looks good. If I were in the market for a snorkel, this would be the one. Of coarse I'd have to go for the hood also, I think that hood is awsome.

Talking

Hole in the fender, hole in the hood, same effect.

Interestingly....the RR site shows their JK with their snorkle HAVING an AEV hood, or at least the same side cut outs in the pics.

You don't need the AEV hood to fit the snorkel.

Wow out of all the snorkels I have seen for the JK I like this one best. I really like how it ties in with the factory air box. We would have to change a little to make it 100% water tight but no biggie.

You know after this video was done [YouTube] I have really wanted a snorkel. Now I just have to wait. Hopefully when they come out ill have the cash saved up.

Damn you David for making me spend all this money lol.

The RR looks a little toylike to me where this unit has a military/utilitarian look to it. I like the fact it uses the stock airbox too. The unit in the photo looks clean. I am not sure about the pre-filter looks, but I am sure it will function well. I'd like to see a blacked out version of the pre-filter.

They do have an AEV hood on their red JK

I am a big fan of RR's setup and look, but AEV's setup is pretty slick too. Too bad its so damn ugly. Id really like to see one in person.

Seeing as AEV currently only has 1 dealership outside of North America why design and test for something not available in North America. Also Dave Harrington has made comments to incinuate that Jeep will be making a comment durring EJS regarding a diesel, but that is all in the Rumor Mill section. My personal preference is for the ram air over the pre filter.
