I have one and it works with the Poison Spyder Bombshell. I run 33" tires so the added protection is well worth it. Just slide right over obstacles

Are guys doing these diff sliders front and rear, or just rear?

And if only rear why would you not give the front the same protection?

I'm struggling with seeing how necessary this mod is...

Rancho makes a rear slider (they call a glide plate) for about 1/2 price of the AEV slider. Any feedback on that as an option?

Thinking about getting one myself but have a couple of questions:
- Any of you who are running the rear slider have an after market Gas Tank Skid. Saw on the AEV forum that you had to do some trimming with the Rock Hard Gas Tank Skid and I was wondering if it is the same with all aftermarket Gas Tank Skids. I'm thinking about getting either the Rock Hard or the Rough Country Gas Tank Skid.
- How difficult is it to do the Diff service with this installed or are you just removing it when you drain the diff?

No, not a lot... Pretty much none at all. Unless you order them or make them. Some guys wheel on concrete wreckage and drainpipes though. It's pretty sad actually!

If I'm thinking of the right glide plate, I don't think it offers any protection for the driveshaft but rather just glides the diff. over rocks.

The AEV rear slider was one of my first mods (after tranny cooler), and I know it's taken some hits. I added the Rancho front slider shortly there after. I ran stock height & wheels/tires for three years, and did some very gnarly trails. They provide real protection, and a lot of confidence when you're driving from boulder to boulder! Be forewarned that the rear slider is NOT compatible with the RR evap skid, and from the designs, I would guess with some other evap skids on the market.

When it comes to changing fluids, neither skid gets in the way of process.
