I'm hoping someone on the forum might have an answer for me regarding the addition of a tailgate cargo rack for use with the AEV Rear Bumper w/Tire Carrier. I need a little more storage for camping gear.
I was looking at the Bestop HighRock Tailgate Cargo Rack but I'm not sure if it will clear the post on the AEV Tire Carrier.

Has anyone tried this?

Are there any other options out there that may work? I've looked at the Warrior Products rack and the Garvin rack but I don't think they'll clear the post.

I don't want to use a hitch mounted cargo basket for added storage as it creates too many clearance problems and I won't be able to open the tailgate.

I thought that might be the case. I don't really want to cut the post.
I'm going to try contacting AEV and see if they can recommend anything.

AEV will probably recommend their own roof rack which they are finishing up now

They haven't gotten back to me yet. I'll post whatever they reply with.
If they make a rack that doesn't interfere with the operation of the soft top (specifically the sunrider option) then I'd consider it.

With any luck they'll get back to me soon.

Good luck with that.. Call AEV their phone customer service is great, internet well.. Still waiting 3 months and counting.. Good thing NR4x4 got them to respond for me within 15 minutes.
