Power Hungry

So I've got 35x13.5x15 Toyo MTs. I have to set the procal at 33.5 for tire size for my speedometer to be as close to accurate as possible, but I'm not sure that is giving me the most efficient shift points on my 2012 automatic. What tire sizes and subsequent procal settings are you guys running?

Just measure them mounted, with the weight of the vehicle on them and you will be good to go.

Well that's what I'm asking. My actual measured tire size is 34". But for my speedometer to be correct measured by GPS, I have to set it at 33.5. I don't feel like that is putting my shift points in the optimum positions though. So I'm wondering if others have the same experience.

Are you measuring from the ground to the edge of the tread shoulder?

Place a mark on your tire and roll it one full rotation. Measure that distance in inches and divide by 3.14. That should give you the actual tire height

Your GPS is likely correct. Most 35s measure an actual 33" to 33.5" tall when actually mounted.
