JK Newbie
I had 2014 Willys Wheeler JKU with AEV 2.5 XT Lift Kit and Drop Brackets on Stock Willys Wheels on Goodyear Duratracs 315/70 - R17 Tires and my JKU got totaled last year at end of the year and waiting on my New 2016 Rubicon JKU to arrive and I am going with the same set-up. AEV 2.5 XT Lift Kit and Drop Brackets and going to change the Wheels to Method NV on Goodyear Duratracs 315/70 - R17 Tires. Handle great on and off-road. Pictures of the 2014 JKU:

JK Super Freak
just got my aev 2.5 lift on 2 days ago with the rancho drop brackets and tires / wheels are 35x12.50 fierce additudes on rockmonsters.
Got rock bumpers front and rear but nothing else for added weight.
It does ride a bit stiffer then stock but it rides better then stock. less prone to wondering down the highway.

I have installed AEV 2.5" kits on my '12 JK, and my son's '16 JKUWW.
They area a really nice kit. I did use the rear sway bar links on the front as I just couldn't like the way the extension brackets looked, and Rough Country 1134 rear links. both Jeeps are running Cooper ST MAXX 315' with 30#'s in the front, and 28 in the back. The JK rides just a bit stiffer than the JKU, as to be expected with the longer wheelbase of the JKU. Both handle better than stock. My wife and I make the 5 hour tip t snowmobile camp frequently in the JK with no comfort problems at all. Coming from our CJ5's and CJA, this JK rides like a car, haha
They gained a little more than 3". Both are light as we don't have bumpers and winch on yet.
I plan on using the same kit when we get my wife's JK.
Hope this helps you out. You will love the AEV kit.
