LOL!! Yeah, it works just fine and I have actually used one before as well. The only thing I really like about the AEV base is that it stores away so nicely and out of the way in the floor storage compartment of the JK. Otherwise, I'm sure some boards of wood would do the trick just fine as well

I just jumped on the jack base bandwagon.

Hopefully I will get my Jeep back from the dealership who messed up my clutch/tranny by the time it arrives at my doorstep.

Those guys at AEV, they think of it all, don't they! Pretty cool item, and great design to fit it in the trunk like that! Better get one...

Ok. For the record. When was the last time you bought a hot cake?

I like it. I don't like it enough to pay $50. I generally carry the Hi Lift even if unsafe because my scissor jack threads stripped the first time I used it. I need to replace it (under warranty) but keep forgetting. I'll do that and carry a 4x4. If the plastic thingy comes down in price to $20 - $30, I will reconsider.
