Default AEV high steer kit help

OK, almost done installing the 3.5 AEV lift and I'm having a hell of a time trying to remove the drag-link so that I can drill the 7/8 hole in the knuckle. Whats the trick, do I need a puller or a bigger hammer?

Thanks
Luke

Big hammer...

Just beat on it till it falls out. You'll think you are going to break something.

I hammered on mine for 10 mins. Then my father walked up grabbed the sledge hammer and hit it HARD and it fell right out. Made me feel like a 10 year old.

Hit around the knuckle with a smaller hammer will help as well. I used a pusher and the just tapped on the knuckle and it popped off.

Why would anyone slam a sledge hammer as hard as they can on it? Metal bends and cracks. That is not the right way.

Go to auto parts store borrow a puller and it comes right off.
