Default AEV coil spring question.

Ok so I'm looking to upgrade to the AEV 4.5 coils. I currently have the 4" RC w/adj front lower control arms. My question is, would I need to change out my drivelines right away or is it something that can wait. Also is there anything else that would need to be done before road worthy? Thanks for the help.

I guess you are asking about replacing the drive shaft right away? You could do like I did and drive it for a month without a front driveshaft. I think you can use the rear driveshaft as-is. AEV modified my front driveshaft and I just got it back on the Jeep this week. It is smooth, quite and painless to reinstall since it doesn't replace the drive yokes.

I'll try to get pictures out later in the week.

I'm running the aev 4.5 premium on my 08 JKU X. Ran the factory drive shafts for over a year before replacing the front with a coast, still running oem rear shaft. That being said, I have a rubi smartbar on the front so I never fully disconnect the swaybar. The front shaft started to spit just a little bit of grease after a year or so.
If you disconnect, the front boot runs a good chance of getting torn, so plan on a front shaft sooner rather than later.

I am running their 3.5" premium lift. Based on what I've read, i dont' think you would have to switch anything out. Their lifts are designed to run with a lot of the stock compoments. My suggestion would be to talk to someone like Dave from Northridge 4x4 or contact AEV directly. They are very responsive to all inquiries.

So if I'm not going to disconnect the sway bars I should be ok for a while on both driveshafts? I will eventually change them. The RC lift didn't give me as much lift as I thought it would so I'm hoping to move to the AEV.

The AEV guys do recommend replacing the front drive shaft even with the 3.5" premium lift. I ordered my lift directly from them and then sent them my drive shaft after I finished the lift. Kent Klein at AEV conversions is who I talked to.

Cool do you happen to know the cost and turn around time of them doing the drive shaft?
