Default AEV bumper with 1" body lift

I have a 2 door with a 1" body lift (to make room for the rear winch) and had the AEV front bumper installed over the weekend. It of course hangs down 1" from where it should be. Anyone who has installed this have any idea on how to get it in the proper place or should I just plan on living with it?

I'll get pictures posted as soon as I get them.

Actually, I think I got my fix. I changed to the new Ward 9.5Rc. It's much smaller and will fit where the little hide away is in the "trunk". The hide away is just going to be cut out. Then there is no need for the 1" body lift.

And yes the muffler was relocated to under the drivers side.

I'll post pictures next week when I get it back from the Line-X install

Considering it's your bumper and not something like a spare tire, I would think you would have to just live with it. Certainly, I would think relocating it would compromise its strength and integrity.

Why would it hang down from where it should be?

The AEV front bumper literally wraps around the frame of the jeep. So when the body is lifted 1" essentially the bumper sits 1" lower than it was designed to.

I'm going to keep it as is for a little while.

I'm on the waiting list for the 4" FT lift. One that is on, I'll decide to remove the 1" body lift or leave it as is.
