I'm hearing you on the warranty man. Try for it as something's always better than nothing and the worst they could say is "no" good luck.

Nevermind. I found it on their website. "On all 2012 JKs equipped with automatic or manual transmissions, you will not need to replace your front driveshaft."

I have seen pictures on other websites that specifically state that AEV is wrong about not replacing the driveshaft. It will rub the exhaust loop at some point tearing the boot FWIW!

That depends on year and transmission. I have an '08 with the manual trans, and should be OK. Some years/transmissions, the shaft may hit the exhaust.

If I wanted to avoid changing drive shafts and saving a bit of coin, would the AEV 2.5 DualSport with the geometry correction brackets be a good choice? I hear it does very well on-road and off.

I was actually going to create a new thread asking what is the true difference between the AEV 2.5 and 3.5 lifts. The obvious answer is one inch, but is it really? I have read that the 2.5 was designed to provide 2.5 with the AEV bumpers, meaning with the stock bumpers you actually get 3 inches of lift. Has anyone else looked into if the difference really is a true inch? Both lifts state they were designed for 35's.

Damn that looks good. I am guessing those are 35's. Diffidently looks like you could fit 37's and flat fenders.

Their site says the 2.5 kit was designed for those who want the capability and performance of the 3.5 and 4.5 lifts but with a lower stance. I assume the 2.5 kit would provide a performance advantage over a puck lift due to the spring and shock combo.

• Front stabilizer end link relocation brackets

AEV 3.5 SC DualSport Kit Contents:

• Rear track-bar tower
• Custom bent OE rear track bar

Just installed this lift on a 2 door. He averages just over 2.5" which is going to be safer for the drive shafts. With any lift height you should still keep a eye on them. Especially the front if disconnecting. You should look into a exhaust spacer to protect the slip boot/DS

The biggest differences in the 2 kits

- 1" duh
- higher rear track bar tower
-drag link flip kit
- the brackets with the kit that raise the front sway bar links
- longer rear links (none with 2.5)
