Default Aev 2.5 lift and 35's on rockmonsters. any chance for rubbing.

2012 jk 2 door. buying parts over the winter. wanting to do 2.5 aev lift with rancho dropbrackets and 35x12.50r17 fierce additudes on rockmonsters 8.5 with 4.6 backspacing. front and rear smitybuilt xrc bumpers ( if that makes any diff ) ( stock fenders )

I can find many people running similar setups but not the same and every time i see a bunch of guys saying they have no rubbing issues theres always another guy who apparently is rubbin on everything so for all of you who have a similar set up do you have any clerance issues?

Add the proper bumpstops and clip the rear sway bar link upper bolts. Without proper bumps, you will rub. I'm on a smaller tire and and lift, it'll rub the snot out of a fender under full duress. I chose not to add proper bumps because it then limits uptravel. I'd sooner do a sumospring, but that's me.

from the pics the aev comes with the 2.5 inch bumpstop pads so that should be set but what about cutting the sway bar link upper bolt? like litterally grind it flush with the nut?

It reuses stock rear links, right? I took mine down to one thread past the nut and it stopped the contact. The stock links will contact the stock lines. I'd recommend everyone chop those down to a single thread past the nut- factory, lifted, etc.
