advice on RIPP SC
#11
RIPP said that they changed the mounting locations and a few of the pipes
#12
and after multiple email correspondence, they said that they can't verify if the parts require an upgrade, even with me providing a copy of the original invoice, but that they need to see the parts

What year do you have? the kit for 2007-2010 was the same with some modification to "IMPROVE" the system. The system for the 2011 is a stand alone year. and 2012-up is totaly different.
If it was purchased for a 2010 and you have a 2007-2010 you should be fine. BTW I have 45K miles on mine and LOVE IT

RIPP advised that it "may require upgrades" totaling $1700 in order for it to function up to standard specs. The kit is $3600, and I can't afford another $1700, and I was worried that it wouldn't run right, so I don't think i'm going to purchase the kit

I have an opportunity to purchase a new/unused (still in the box) RIPP Gen2 Supercharger Kit Si-Trim Stage 2 with intercooler for $3,500. The kit was originally purchased from RIPP in July 2012 but never installed or used.
When I contacted RIPP to see if any changes have been made since that model was sold at that time, Chris from RIPP advised that they "made some changes around that time in regards to pipes and mounting locations" and that it may cost me an additional $1700 to upgrade the kit to current standards so that it operates and functions properly, but that he couldn't be sure unless he sees the actual parts.
Will I be screwed if I purchase this and it needs to be upgraded, because I can't afford another $1700 ??
Will this unit not work right without being upgraded??

If you can get some pictures off to us to lay our eyes on it we can definitely give you some more information. Blower location was changed during that time from where the battery was located to the front of the engine as well as tuning software and electronics. As far as functioning properly, if its a brand new kit, I do not seen an issue. We want to help you to the best of our abilities and make sure you have all the correct information.
All in all, try to send some pictures of everything you've got, a picture's worth a thousand words.
