Default adjustable upper control arm length?

I'm currently running the TF 2.5" BB, but I've been thinking about upgrading but doing so on a budget. I'd like to go with 3" coils and track bar and control arms to do things right. However, I was thinking while reading WOL's writeup on the FT ultimate lift that I may not nead adj. upper control arms if I go with 3" of lift. I noticed WOL set his uppers to 1/8" longer than stock. So I was thinking that in the front all I would need is lower adj control arms, adj trackbar, and leave the stock uppers and I would be in the 7-9 degree caster range if I were to stick with 3" of lift.

Any thoughts?

if i had to choose, i'd use adj uppers. they are shorter and are more prone to throwing the caster angle off.

the sweep of a shorter arm as it travels through it's arc... plus the stock lowers are boxed. much better than the previous model stuff. (XJ/TJ/ZJ)
