adjustable track bar, 2.5" lift question
so background of my jeep, i only have a 2.5" BB lift but i want to slowly replace it until i have a full lift (springs, shocks, control arms...)
i want to have the option to go up in lift size if/when i feel the need, so i want an adjustable track bar. while i know its not necessary at 2.5'' of lift i feel its money well spent to recenter my axle, what track bar do you recommend for a lift of 2.5-3.5? besides just the track bar is there anything else i would need to go with it, like brackets or something?

Rear, find a bracket with holes for multiple lift heights. Make sure it has a decent design that adds extra support. (multiple mount locations, welded, ubolt around the tube, etc). These brackets will raise the roll center and improve handling, as well as center the axle.
Front, any of the adjustable trackbars will work. Synergy is popular, as are Rock Krawler and Teraflex. There are many others to look at, you'll just need to do some reading and comparing. As far as raised brackets go, you want to retain good steering, which means keeping the trackbar and draglink parallel to each other. Raising the trackbar with a bracket causes issues you don't want to get involved with at 2.5".

Synergy you can adjust while installed.
MC is a great company with quality products.
RK makes a nice bar also and is very solid.
Take your pick.
If you go 3.5" I say keep the stock bar and do a synergy drag link flip kit which will raise the trackbar at the axle and recenter the axle also.

from what i have read it seems there much more involved with going to 3.5 so i maybe rethinking that and staying with 2.5. i doubt ill run over 35s for a long while anyways.
if staying with 2.5 i can get away with just an adj. front track bar and a track bar relocating bracket for the rear?
thanks for all the help guys! y'all are awesome

Yep. And if at some point you do decide to go taller, you can always add a front bracket and flip the draglink then. Or don't worry about the flip and just recenter the axle again.

you said go with a bracket that adds strength and is adjustable... do you have any recommendations? thanks again

Teraflex and Ruffstuff brackets were talked about in another thread earlier today. I have front and rear Synergy brackets, good stuff, but they don't have holes for different lift heights.
If you are planning on a rear adj trackbar at some point in the future to fine-tune the axle centering, the lack of extra bracket holes may be a non-issue. But the added strength from welding or ubolts is a good thing.
