How much thread inside the arms ? 2-3 is a lot and dangerous if you dont have enough thread engagement.

I'm curious about this as well. I have a Rock Krawler 5.5" kit and my rear axle is perfectly center with no issues. There arms are completely adjustable and able to allow for this.

My lowers have a lot of thread left in the arms, the measurements are whatever RK said they were supposed to be, I went from using the 2.5" measurements to the 3.5" measurements so that extended it a little more. I didn't ever measure the treads but well over half of them are in the arms still, granted these are the arms that are ~1" longer than stock.

The RK short arms use a 1" shank that has very little thread to allow for adjustment. They are designed to be used nearly fully inserted into the arm. Running them out will leave the shank the weak point and prone to bending and stripping the threads. If you have RK short arms I doubt you have the axle moved 2"-3" farther back then stock.

Yup... even the instructions for the RK X-Factor control arms show lengths that are only about 1 1/16 to 1 3/8 longer than normal.

I'm fine as is but the rears are not centered within the wheel well and if it would be I could go to 40s as I wish to do.

You using RKs? I have RK uppers n lowers in the front but was considering rough country for rear. No particular reason. Few bucks cheaper. Both adjustable.

I have 4.5 " clearance in the rear of tire and less then 2 in the front of rear tire (37s). Front tire no issues. if I were to get it more even like 3.5 and 3" would this be even feasible? Sorry for duplicate pics.

I'm in a similar predicament with my 4" Evo lift...

Stock rear arms still. Considering I do only some logging trails and occasionally Rocks and Valleys here in MI.

I was thinking of trying the Teraflex Alpine adjustable arms with the clevis joints since I don't rock crawl or flex much really.

You do realize that on a short arm with a lift as the wheel is stuffed in the wheel well that the axle moves towards the rear of the jee, as you droop it moves forward.
