Adding Bumpers/Tire Carrier (Weight)

Adding Bumpers/Tire Carrier (Weight)
I have a 08 JKU with a TF 2.5 BB and 35s. I'm looking at getting the Rugged Ridge XHD rear bumper, but I'm concerned about the weight that it will add. Eventually I'll also be adding on the tire carrier that goes with it (and later on the XHD front bumper).
The JK still has it's stock coils/shocks and after reading past posts, I can see that the jeep will certainly sag with the added weight.
Like I said, I did some searching on the forum and see that people have recommended getting the Teraflex 3in coils to control the sagging, but I wasn't sure if that is all I would need.
I can't afford to get new bumper and springs. Would it be wise to get the coils first & have them installed, and then get the back bumper or would the XHD bumper by itself not lower it too much?
Again, I just don't have the money to buy everything at once. I don't even have the money to buy the back bumper & the tire carrier at once. I also don't have the money to buy coils & and then find out I need to buy extra stuff because it raised more than the stock equipment can handle (brake lines, etc.).
I kinda just feel like saying the hell with it, and just keeping the spare tire in the back and getting an AVE snorkel.
Thanks for any help

Add the weight, see how much actual sag you get, and then decide what to do about it.
Going from 2.5" to 4+" will bring a lot more components into it, up to and including driveshafts and adj ca's. (a 2.5" spacer give 2.5". A 3" TF coil gives 4+" on a 4door.)
The 2.5" TF coils would be a better option than the 3" coils if you want to end up somewhat close to the same height you are now.

I did it all to my 2010 JKU Rubicon. I had to have the F&R bumpers w/tire carrier and winch. All of it adds weight. Now that I've had it for awhile, I wonder if I should have stuck with the stock bumpers, added a winch plate and figured out some way to reenforce the tail gate / tire carrier. It looks nice, but don't need the 250+# they added. I still have all of the stock items, so I might just do some ungrading. You need to have a good articulating suspension, but do you really need the heavy steel bumpers? I'm not so sure I do!

Just don't want to lose the 2.5 lift too much.
Thanks for the replies, guys.

You should be concerned about your tailgate with a 35 on it. Mine started to crack the factory welds on the inside of the tailgate. I fixed it up by re welding the welds and left my spare in the garage till my carrier came in.

Lil info, JKRocker on here is running TF BB spacers in the rear and 3in TF springs in front. He's got the Smitty XRC in the rear toten a 35in spare. His major sag issues were in front when he added heavy winch/bumper combo so he changed the front springs. As far as I know he's still running this way. You could shoot him a pm and see just how much sag he had in the rear.

Until you get the funds for the rear bumper, I've read of guys building a support that fits into the receiver and carries the weight of the tire instead of the tailgate. It would be trial and error to get the right fit, but would save your tailgate.
