I just put on some slightly smaller 285/70/17 and definitely noticed the difference in power when driving with those. I installed the Superchips Flashpaq tow tune, and that made a huge difference in driving. It doesn't hunt for gears going up hills, I don't have to floor it to reach 40mph. I adjusted my tire size to 33" with the tuner, and my mpg hasn't changed.

It depends on the year. For sure 2010 and 2011 tow package is 3.73. If you need verification, go to the jeep website and build your own. I just went through this when I bought mine.
