Default Ace sliders as a jack point?

Anyone know if the bolt on ace sliders can be used as a jack point for a hi-lift? The slider looks bullet proof but the mount to the body bolts looks weak.

are you asking as in terms of a hi-lift jack point? if so, sure, i would think it should hold. if it didn't, i wouldn't trust them to the rocks that's for sure. if you were asking as a general jack point, there are much better places you can used like the bottom of your differential, base of your control arms or, if needed, your frame rails although, they would be way high up.

Thanks. Ya a hi-lift jack point. I'm leaning towards the shrockworks sliders now because they bolt directly to the frame and I just found out they also come in a textured powder coat.

Probably looks "small" because there seems to be close to a couple thousand pounds hanging off it.

I did a test lift in my garage with a hi-lift on my ace rails and it seems plenty sturdy. The ace rail deflected until it contacted the rubicon rail, not sure what it would do on a non-rubicon.

I hope this is not being used as an acceptable feature or selling point I would opt for another manufacturer's non-deflecting rails.

tried it on mine not long ago when changing my breaks and seemed like the angle would help the jack slip off a little... not a very safe lift point in my opinion

I called ACE on this and they said it was no problem AS LONG AS they are used in conjunction with the factory Rubicon rails.
