Default ace rock rail help!!

Should be so easy, the body mount bolts came out, but on reinstall I cannot get one to tighten, as it gets close it kinda pops and gets loose again. How bad is this, any fixes? Help please!

I had to use a airgun to get mine started, then I finished them by hand. I think what got it in was applying enough upward pressure while turning the bolts. I also had mine supported by jack stands as i did them.

I tried that, jack stand holding it in place, it catches but I think the clasp or nut inside is snapped....... It gets about 90% tightened then "pops" then have to turn it more to get it back to 90%.... Has anyone done this or know a fix?

Was that bolt particularly difficult to remove?

It almost sounds like the captured nut is stripped.

Its a very defeating moment. Installed the aev dual sport, geometry brackets, rear bumper and carrier, to be defeated by a three bolt rock slider......

It sounds like the threads are bad. I had this problem when the supplied bolts were not the same thread as the factory. You can figure it out quick if you just try to tighten the bolt and if it doesn't tighten still the treads are stripped. If it does you have a fitmant issue I would think.

I remember one of mine was a real bitch to install, but I can't remember what I did to finally get it. I want to say I had to loosen the other two bolts and this helped. I know I finally got it, but I do remember thinking WTH this shouldn't be this difficult.

All 3 of my bolts did this, so I used my cordless impact driver and that did the trick.
