Default ACE rails coming and gotta grind body mount washer

...and I don't have a grinder/sander. I assume I can't take them out and drive my jeep somewhere to get this done. Frustrating because from looking at the video, it's like, literally 30secs total of grinding for all of them to get them to fit. Is it time to man up and just buy a bench grinder for this one little job? Any suggestions? Like maybe some cheaper tool I could use to get these things to fit...?

Just buy a grinder, then you will find all sorts of things to cut on your Jeep! If you don't see yourself needing it much, get a cheap one from Harbor Freight.

X2 on buying a grinder. You can get one at Lowe's for as little as $30. Don't take my word for it, check it out yourself.

Better yet, tell your boss that the company you work for needs one. Worked out perfect.

Thanks; didn't realize how cheap they can be. You're probably right, I'll be looking for other things to cut/grind on this thing. Maybe even a new hobby will be born.

I thought I had tools until I bought a Jeep.

I now have almost 2 of everything including vise grips, socket sets, clamps, hammers, etc.

I added a bench grinder, creepy crawler, 3 ton floor jack, extra jack stands, rivet gun, tons of torx bits, breaker bar, impact adapters, etc, etc, etc, etc.

I was going to buy a grinder, but i thought what the heck I will try it with my belt sander - turned it upside down, took about 45 minutes for all 6. Just medium 80 grit. Just FYI.

Just do us all a favor and don't drive it anywhere w/o the bolts in place.

If you really don't warrant the bench grinder you could always use a metal file. It will take a little longer, but it will get the job done. I vote bench grinder
