Ace Engineering mid width bumper and 37"

I guess I wasn't clear, I'm doing a pretty big mod , I'm totally replacing the Dana 30 and the Dana 44 in the rear, as well as both drive shafts
I'm putting in Dynatrac pro rock's, d44 for front and d60 for rear
The pair are currently being custom built by Northridge 4x4
It would be a waste of great equipment to not think about going big
I do a fair amount if off road near where I live and I'm attending at least 4 Jeep jamboree's next year, and there are two Jamborees that I couldn't do this year because I didn't have lockers

I have a 3 inch lift, 37's with cut stock fenders. I run the Rough Country Hybrid Stubby Bumper with End Caps. Full Front articulation with wheels turned I was rubbing the end caps. Today, I just trimmed about an inch off the caps and problem should be solved. With a mid bumper, I would imagine you will rub. I do have adjustable control arms which pushed the front axle out a bit (close to stock location after lift). Before I had the control arms it barely touched the end caps.
Do you run any spacers on your wheels?
If it comes to it, I either have the new front bumper cut down and have new end caps welded on and get it painted or more likely powder coated, or I just order a stubby Ace bumper...
The main reason I didn't get a stubby before is that I live in one of the pickiest states as far as inspection...
There is verbiage saying your fenders must fully cover your wheels
Another that your tire tread cannot protrude beyond the fender
And other language that a new/replacement bumper must provide coverage at least as good as the factory bumper
I can easily think of a logical case for saying that a stubby bumper doesn't provide the same coverage as a full width bumper as it simply isn't nearly as long as the factory bumper was
Swapping out the 37's for stock wheels once a year is certainly doable, and buying a stubby Ace bumper isn't a big deal, but having to remove the stubby bumper and uninstall my winch just to reinstall the crappy front bumper is a real pain to be doing every 12 months
I don't want to be forced to 35's, if I change my mind that's fine, but to be forced to do it when I see a dozen jeeps and pickup trucks that are jacked up and have tires sticking way out bugs me

I dont run spacers for the wheels and i'm not sure exactly what the backspacing on my rims are but its probably around 4.5. Too bad you cant find a way to run a stubby bumper full time and have some bumper extenders fabricated just for inspection and remove after. Just an idea.

I need to visit the dealership and talk to the guy in service I've gotten to know and see what inspection tips he might have
The older dude that I talked to at the little place that just does inspection and oil changes is way too thorough...
I had just installed my new truck lites but my driveway has enough of a slope that you can't use it for pointing lights
So that was part of the reason to go there
He noticed every little thing and even that even though I had the new headlights installed properly one of the retaining rings was just a tad loose, even with all the screws properly installed and carefully tightened, it still had the tiniest bit of movement and he caught that and said that would also be a fail
I think his hobby is looking for fails!
The pro comp series 98 all black wheels I like are at least a 4.25 back spacing and they are only $100 each, the others I really liked are the ATX Slabs and there very expensive because they are bead licks, which are also not allowed in Maine!
Hopefully my axles ship this week and I can fixate on that for now
Gonna try to get inspected at dealership this week so I'll have a whole year to forget about that!
