"I am running 15x8 Cragar "D" window (the same as US wheel and others) with a 3.75 backspacing. No clearance issues at all."

Not trying to throw stones before I'm even known, but what's the answer on what BS is needed, optimal, or acceptable on a 15x8 wheel for a JK?

Thank you.

Sorry usmcdoc14
sorry at first I thought "BS" you were meaning bullshit

The rims on my JK unlimited are 3.75" backspacing 15x8 (I just looked at my Summit receipt) the 4" one was a brain fart on my part

so to clarify: on my JK (the only one applicable here) I have Cregar 15x8 with a 3.75" BS and running 35x12.5" Radial Claws. The tires stick maybe 2" past the fenders at most. There is no clearance issues, my turning radius seems the same, and nothing rubs with a 4" lift. (hell, you could fit 37"s in there)

and If you give me a sec I will tell you the clearance to the caliper and if 4" BS should be a issue

Just looked at my caliper clearance and Go with the 3.75" BS, 4 would be cutting it WAY too close.

I call BS... do you have Creger wheels or Cragar wheels? Okay, just kidding, sorry I couldn't help it. Anyway, thanks for clarifying, in my reviewing of the gazillion threads, I could tell you were a real asset here, I wasn't trying to toss around poop like a monkey. Thanks for the info and for checking.

In seeing your other post, it seems like alot of people are running 4.0 BS with that wheel. I don't want to ask what would you do because that's silly, but I'm finding 4.0" BS 15x8 Cragars for $40 and 3.75" are twice that. Grrrr. Thanks.

a good way to get wheels and tire mount/balance at best market value is to purchase thru summitracing and referrance the rubber prices on tirepackage.com

wow good deal - the wheels are more expensive but free mounting and balancing and $50 off the total because of the package ultimately makes it worth it - especially because I don't mind paying a premium for me to not have to deal with that. I built a cart on that site, but what do you mean by "purchase through summitracing" and "referrence on..."? I don't quite understand what that means, but tirepackage does seem like a good deal.

yeah, I'm not sure how they make money selling wheels for $40 but oh well, that's not our problem
