acceleration - steers left / brake - goes right
Last night I put on a rough country front trackbar relocation bracket. I have a 3.5" lift that I pieced together over a while, mostly Rock Krawler. When I drive I have a weird thing going on. I hold my steering wheel straight, I give it throttle it pulls left, I let off the throttle it pulls right. I'm pretty sure I have everything tight.
Is there anything I should be checking? What would cause this? I'm trying to picture in my head what would cause this problem. The trackbar being loose would not do that. If I had upper and lower control arms loose it could do that. I did have the nuts on the bottom of the control arm loose (RK arms), I just tightened the piss out of those and the problem is still there. They were loose because of something I did at the end of this install, they did not work themselves loose and I don't expect any other mounting hardware for the arms are loose. It drove fine just before I did the front trackbar relocation bracket install.
Hmm....Can someone make a suggestion?
Thank you.

Stock pitman?
Check the drag link and trackbar to see how parallel they are. Since they have bends, it may be easier to take a picture of the front end and use paint or another photo editing program and draw straight lines from mounting hole to mounting hole.
If you look at some of RC's taller lifts, you will note that a drop pitman (relocates the frame end of the draglink) and trackbar relo bracket are used at the same time to keep the bars parallel. Use one without the other, and ...

What I am describing is a pull to the left and right when accelerating and decelerating. With not having the drag link and track bar running parallel you get bump steer. That means you hit a bump it steers either direction, not one way or the other every single time. I'm testing on a smooth surface with no bumps. When my trackbar was way way off (before the relocation bracket install) I had plenty of bump steer and no pull when accelerating and decelerating. Now that I have my trackbar pretty much dead on where it should be the bump steer is gone.
I did some looking tonight and found I have a loose tierod end up front. This is most likely my problem. I will replace it tomorrow and see how that helps.

I had this something happen to me except I installed the synergy flipped drag link. When I drove it upon acceleration it pulled right but with braking I dove left. I installed the synergy trackbar relocation bracket and everything went back to normal. Definitely go back and make sure everything is torqued to spec but I bet your problem is that your drag link and track bar aren't parallel anymore.

They were never parallel in the first place and it never did this. Now that they are much closer to parallel it does this?
My tierod end was loose in the tie rod, got that fixed and it still does it.

After doing some looking around on the inter web I found others with a similar problem. People are suggesting rear control arm bushings are shot. I do have a weird rattle in the rear of my jeep, maybe I have a loose control arm mounting point or a bushing is screwed. Either way I have new ones to put on that I have yet to get around installing. So I will check that next.
