If you're trying to do something where you think you need to disable ABS, you probably shouldn't be doing it to begin with.[/QUOTE]
so what you are saying is i should not wheel my jeep.

Not at all. I don't know of anyone else who wheels their Jeep who has disabled ABS. Anybody. You asked me what all it affected. I told you. If you want to know what all it does, read your owner's manual. God forbid, don't take my word for it.

Do the ESP elimination mod.
I hate the ABS also. Several times while doing a moderate hill climb, I didn't have the momentum and hit the brakes. Due to the exceptionally well engineered ABS I rolled all the way back down intstead of being held at the point on the hill I actually applied the brakes.
I plan on doing the ESP, ABS, "my jeep thinks it's smarter than me" electronics crap bypass switch this weekend.

all that woot you said abs ,bas, traction control ect is gay !!i just want to know if anyone has been able to disable all that useless woot. i have owned jeeps for years and never needed or wanted any of that woot! its dangerous plain and simple. get your jeep on a long steep hill ,push the clutch in and stomp the brakes and see what happens. you will probally woot your self as you roll back 10 feet and then the brakes grab. im not trying to make anyone mad here. im just looking for some answers from someone that might have experince on this because im clueless now

Of course, there's a TSB out there now, which I beleive addresses the ESP not shutting completely off. There's some sequence of events you need to do to shut off the ESP completely, but you're not hacking into the wire harness.

I beleive the intent of that switch was to eliminate ESP, not ABS. The ABS was just a side effect.
