8" or 10" wide rims?
I have 17x8 rims on my truck now and my tires seem pretty big on those. I am selling my truck to get a JK though. Is a 10" wide rim too much? looking at 35" or 37" tall tires 12.5 - 13.5" wide
Which do you prefer 8" or 10" wide rims? Got a a good picture of your wide tires on that rim?

Assuming you're talking about a 12.50" tire, or thereabouts:
10" Pros:
probably the size the tire manufacturer recommends
you'd be able to run higher pressure and have even tread contact on the road
the tires will run cooler and last longer
on-road handling will be better
10" Cons:
most guys don't like the look
off road, aired down, the wider wheel will make it easier to pop a bead
the rim is more vulnerable to trail damage since not as much sidewall is acting as a bumper
8" is pretty much the opposite and what most of us go with. Pic of 315's on 16x8s.
