60K Rubi at the local dealership

Noticing the build sheet options I saw where the offered 4.5" lift with 37" tires and still warranty the drive train. Why won't they do that across the board without hassling people that modded their jeep themselves .... Hmmm!!! Thinking......

if it came from factory like that
or did dealer add some stuff ! this would be interesting in court to see why they can sell one like this with warrenty yet fail someone saying this is what caused the stuff to fail but im sure Chrysler has better lawyers standing behind them than we could afford ! not to mention as soon as you take it off road and use it for how its built they have to say you voided it as well just as anyone else right ????? right ? I realy think somewhere some one will use this in a procedure of laws !

From what I understand, if you are buying brand new from a dealer with all those options, they need to be included in the VIN and come with the full warranty (since it is being sold as new). Whether the dealer must eat the warranty work or Chrysler allows it, I don;t know but there is no way a dealer can sell a brand new vehicle like that and then turn around and say the warranty does not apply.
And interesting fact, in Rhode Island there is a dealer that will sell new JK's with up to 4" of lift which is way outside of the lift laws in RI. However, because the lift is attached to VIN and considered "from the factory", the JK is able to pass inspection and can actually be modified more by the owner as long as they don't go beyond the stated lift laws. This was actually challenged and won by people I know in RI that are running 4+" of lift and 37"+ tires. While it has never been an issue yet here in MA with me or anyone I know, I would guess that this fact would hold true since the laws state that a vehicle cannot be modeifed more than the XX" above the height it came from the factory. Now...if we could only find a dealer in MA that would sell a brand new JK with a 3.5" long arms and 37's.....

Maybe a bit expensive like a few grand, maybe. If it had a hemi it would be more like $80k new.
Buying the parts and putting them yourself of course saves $.
But whoever buys this can finance the whole shebang.

yes but again i bet the deal is
in the print if its used off road warrenty will be voided and then they have sold it with out backing the warrenty all they have to do is say its been off roaded a bit unless its used for street and it must comply with state laws on bumper height and all , I don't believe 37s and a 4 inch lift will pass with a trooper you have to g to the state rules of dot make sure
