Default 6 speed 4.1 with 35s?

I am going to be upgrading to 35s soon. I have the 4.1 gearing that came with the jeep and am wondering if anyone is running this with a six speed. How is the road manners? what about wheeling? i know with the manual i rely on the extra low a lot to avoid stalling when crawling; how will this be affected?

Anyone running this combo?

I am running 35's with 4.10's, a little slow coming off the line but livable. If you drive in the
mtns. you will shift more. Offroad not an issue at all in 4 lo.

Yup. You're still in the green.

No problem here! Little boggy off the line and gotta shift a bit in the mountains. Off road it's great!

Not bad at all. It put gears a little further behind in my list of things to do to my jeep.

I have 35's with 4.10s and an auto and I don't think it's bad at all. Defiantly livable and with a manual it will be better

I had 35s, 6 speed, and 4.10s. I just went to 5.13s and LOVE it. It feels "good" again. I mainly did this because I was changing to a PR44 front and wanted to lock the rear too. If I wasn't planning all that I would have left them in longer. But I thought it was a little weak with the 4.10s so went right for 5.13s planning ahead for 37s.

No complaints here on my 2dr. I'll be going to 37s in a couple years. Might regear to 4.88 then.

I had 4.10, manual, and 35s. Was nearly impossible to keep 70mph on the highway if on any kind of incline or headwind.

Installed 5.13s, and couldn't be happier. This thing is a beast now.

I run about 3100 rpm at 70 in 6th, with tons of power to pass other cars.

In 4-lo, you can put it in first, take your foot off all the pedals, and it'll crawl up all the rocks by itself.
