5:13's and 33's?

5:13
I think you'll like it . I run 5:38's with 35's and I only turn 2500 RPM's at 65 MPH. Jeep seams to love it. No more shifting out of OD every time the wind blows. Still getting 14 to 15 MPH freeway. Speedo is only off 4 miles an hour at 65.

From my experience i would have to say no , you are going to be reving the hell out of your motor. If you drive at slower speeds you should be alright , dont forget to adjust your speedo.

Yes the automatic needs the RPM's. Power to the rear wheels is very low until 3000 RPM's . If you live in an area with a lot of hills or mountains you'll like the 5:13's. I got the same info off this forum when I geared my jeep and it work's great . Just passing it along Hope it helps

I'm running 5:13 with 35 (34 measured) and I think you'll be happy running that ratio with 33s as long as you don't drive 80 all the time. Like others have said here, the V6 likes to rev a little.

The plan is to head to Northridge and get my gears done then head back to Canada to install the new tires.
But it leads to a new question. What's the break in period for gears? I guess I'll have to call NR tomorrow.

works for me
i'm running 33's with 5.13's and just went cross country. i have an auto and usually drive between 65-70 which gives me 2300-2500 rpm's. been running this for about 7k miles now and haven't had a problem.
