5.13 gears...problems?
I just had 5.13 gears installed in my Jk and the rear diff feels quite warm after a 15 to 20 mile hwy drive. I would not be able to hold my hand firmly on the rear diff for more than 5 seconds.....seem normal?? There doesn't seem to be any abnormal noise while driving and they were installed by a long time jeep shop, I will inquire with them but was wondering if anyone has had issues with Superior gears?

Yup, sounds completely normal to me. These are 5.13's after all. Granted, they will most likely run a bit hotter until they break in but even after that, you should still expect them to run hotter than stock. At least, that's what I've always seen.

Yes, they will run hot until atleast 500 miles, until they have been broken in. Actually mine still run hot (not as hot as when they were first installed) after about 700 miles, but this is typical of aftermarket gears.

Yup, what they said.
Small hijack, maybe you won't mind since your question hs been answered:
Do you have a Rubicon or an "X" or a Sahara? And were you upgrading from 3.21's or 4.10's? Did you add lockers? Do you have a list of parts of what the installer used?
Thanks.
